After all, you may have been burned in the past by a personal trainer or you have heard your fair share of personal trainer horror stories from friends and family.
Yes, it's true. This industry is filled to the brim with individuals who have no business calling themselves fitness professionals and, unfortunately, give us good ones a bad rap.
Many personal trainers tend to train part-time and, consequently, don't take this profession seriously, or, many are simply very bad at what they do...lol.
The following are 10 trainer don't's that all signify red flags and should immediately tell you NOT to hire them or, if you already have, get your money back as quickly as humanly possible!
1. They don't clearly define your fitness goals from the very beginning of your fitness program so you know exactly what to expect and how fast you will see results given your fitness level.
2. They don't keep track of your fat/weight loss progress so you know exactly where you're starting, how much your body is changing with your measurements and body fat percentage and where you would eventually like to be.
3. They don't record/change each one of your workouts to keep your body from adapting and hitting a plateau.
4. They don't educate you about general fitness and seem very unknowledgeable when asked simple questions.
5. They don't keep you accountable with your nutrition and let you eat whatever you want when you know you're getting away with murder.
6. They don't focus on you and instead complain about their own personal issues which bring a negative energy and detract from your workouts.
7. They don't show up on time which obviously shows they have absolutely no respect for yours.
8. They don't practice what they preach with their own fitness goals and are in bad shape themselves.
9. They don't give you safe and efficient workouts which constantly leave your body fatigued and prone to injury.
10. They don't act like a professional. Whether it's them trying to come on to you like Don Juan. Their attire looking like it hasn't been washed in weeks or just lacking simple manners, these trainers epitomize how not to act and what not to do.
There's plenty more I could list, but you get the idea. Bottom line: personal fitness trainers who exhibit these qualities should be avoided like the plague!
They WON'T and NEVER will get you the results you're looking for. Period. If you somehow did manage to get results, it would only be because YOU luckily figured things out by yourself...lol!
So how am I different?
Well, I'm sure you can figure out that I definitely "do" the 10 things previously mentioned...lol. But I'm also different from most trainers because I not only expect a lot from myself - but YOU the client as well. I don't just train anyone. If you are someone who is NOT 100% fully-committed to achieving your fitness goals - then I don't want your money .
Yep, other trainers online or in gyms will gladly take your hard-earned cash regardless of how serious you are, but not me...no siree. If you're not completely ready to change your life for the better, then you can go ahead and stop reading right now.
No offense, but why on earth would I want to train you when I have many other clients who ARE serious and are happily ready to achieve their fitness and weight-loss goals? Let me quickly answer that for you: I'm not going to. :)

Listen, I could go on and on about all my credentials, my experience, give you a bunch of testimonials from past clients and many other things that VASTLY differentiate me from most trainers out there, but that's not really important.
