New Year's Resolutions: An Affordable Alternative to Personal Training?
Leading fitness expert and author Jim Coughlin, launches first-ever program to simulate hiring a personal trainer, though, lucky for fitness enthusiasts - it's at a fraction of the cost of regular personal training.
Losing weight and getting fit is easily the most popular New Year's resolution
among Americans these days. In addition to the more common solutions people
choose, such as joining a gym, going on a diet or buying the latest fitness
gimmick, another possible answer is hiring a personal fitness trainer.
While most people would agree that hiring a fitness professional is effective
for achieving one's fitness goals, the general consensus would also be that
they aren't too thrilled about the huge dent it puts in their bank accounts.
"The number one reason people get cold feet with personal training is price,"
said Jim Coughlin, a Washington D.C., personal trainer and author of The In-
Home Personal Trainer: Your Guide to Successful In-Home Personal
Training.
"Even if the person decides to go with a trainer, it's usually for a very
short period of time. Very
rarely will someone retain a trainer for more than 2
months."
Instead of getting frustrated like most personal trainers would in this situation,
Coughlin decided to do something about it. After much planning, he decided
to create
an entire DVD course based on his book titled The In-Home Personal
Trainer: Gold/Platinum Edition. This program would take an individual through
the whole personal training experience in the most interactive way possible, but
fortunately, would also save them a bundle in the process.
"I am very excited about this new program. It took me over 6 months to create
and is exactly what it would be like if someone were to hire me in person, only
now, they're being trained by me through a TV screen." said Coughlin.
