How to Get Fit Without a Gym
When it comes to exercise and fitness, many people believe that they need to
be a
member of a gym to get into great shape. More and more however, fitness
enthusiasts are starting to look for more convenient ways to work out. Fact is, in
our
fast-paced world, most working professionals and busy stay-at-home Moms
don't
have the time to travel to a gym. They feel it is a workout in itself, and often
results in them not going at all.
"You can get into the best shape of your life exercising in the privacy of your
own home," said Jim Coughlin, a Washington, D.C., personal trainer and the
author of The In-Home Personal Trainer: Your Guide to Successful
In-Home Personal Training.
"99 percent of the clients I train are in
their home," he said. "While I do train a few clients in a gym, I try to teach them not to use it as a
crutch, and that they shouldn't be fooled into believing they
need flashy machines to get fit and lose weight."
Coughlin teaches his clients four practical components for achieving optimal
fitness.
1. Bodyweight Calisthenics
2. Free Weight Exercises
3. Band/Tubing Training
4. Cardio Conditioning
Although these types of training can be performed anywhere...a person's home
just
happens to be most ideal. In addition, they do not require a monthly gym fee
or purchase
of an expensive home gym.
Coughlin's training strategies documented in his book are the same methods
that
his nationwide personal training company, Coughlin Fitness & Results,
uses to help
hundreds of people throughout the United States lose weight, build
muscle, increase
energy, reduce stress and live a healthier life.
