Coughlin Fitness & Results always wants you to feel safe with our strategies and confident in our abilities. There are a number of ways CFR trainers can guide you to help accomplish your fitness goals.

First, we measure your frequency or how many times a week you should be training. Just because you meet with our personal trainers, doesn't mean you don't want to exercise independently. When you go on vacation you should still be active. Frequency is a great tool for accountability, and it helps you stay on track.

We offer expertise by telling you what type of exercises you should be performing. Some exercises are difficult or easy, some should be executed in the beginning or at the end of your regiment. It is our job to take out the guesswork.

Our Company also gives great direction by showing you how to perform the exercises correctly. CFR's goal is to coach you with the safest and most effective training techniques.

Another component is duration or the length of your workouts. This is similar to frequency because sometimes you don't feel like doing a 10 minute warm-up, let alone an hour of weight training or other exercises. We'll guide you through it.

Lastly, we offer nutritional counseling. This entails the correct food amounts, specific food combinations, the times of day you should be eating, and, of course, the types of food you should be consuming regularly. Accountability plays a big role in nutrition because it is all done by yourself. We can't follow you home; however we can guide you as to what you should be doing at home.

 Q: What strength training programs does your company offer?

CFR offers a variety of strength training programs that are designed to help people with different goals and situations. We offer Sculpt & Strengthen for individuals who only seek one-on-one attention with their strength training routine. Its focus is to motivate and instruct people 1-3 times a week with the most effective training techniques such as free weights, band/tubing, body-weight calisthenics, isometrics, plyometrics, BOSU/balance training and much much more!

CFR also has strength training programs for more than one person at a time called Group Dynamics. This program was created to take the pressure off an individual, and create a teamwork environment that is enjoyable while also challenging 1-2 times a week.

 Q: How do I know what fitness program is right for my situation?


A:
It all depends on your goals. It is our job to assess them and then make recommendations you can adhere to that will make your selection process easier.

For example, if you haven't worked out in years and you're trying to lose a significant amount of weight, CFR will not hesitate to recommend our Total Body Makeover program. There is no other program that will help you achieve your weight loss goals faster than TBM. TBM is for someone who is "hardcore" and is not for everyone. Since you meet with a trainer 5x a week it may be difficult to fit into your schedule. If this is the case, we would recommend "Sculpt & Strengthen" - 3x a week. Sculpt & Strengthen is another great program and if you are self-motivated, this program is all you need to get into fantastic shape!

If you are someone with exercise experience and you feel you have the motivation to be consistent and self-sufficient. CFR would most likely recommend "Sculpt & Strengthen" 1x a week, Without a doubt, we know that in the short amount of time you meet with us, you will benefit with your fitness & health development.

We also offer group training for those who cannot afford regular one-on-one training. Group training is much less expensive than the aforementioned programs and is also very effective. If you know someone who shares your fitness goals and is willing to commit to exercise, you'll essentially be getting a qualified trainer at half the cost!

 Q: When can I expect to see fitness results with my personal trainer?

As long as you are following the fitness program created by your personal trainer, you can realistically expect to lose 1-2 pounds of fat per week. Remember that you don't want to follow scale weight. This does not accurately measure your progress; it will also drive you crazy. Just pay attention to how your clothes fit. Fat takes up 5 times more space then muscle does, so if you are not losing weight, or gaining, it's because muscle is replacing your fat.

Results may vary for each individual and you must realize that nothing happens overnight. So, all of those clever fitness scams, extreme diets, and other quick-fix programs DO NOT apply with Coughlin Fitness & Results programs. Coughlin Fitness & Results personal trainers service their clients in their homes, their apartment complexes, their office facilities, outdoor locations, or eligible gyms in the your area. In-home training is only charged by the fitness program you choose. Eligible gyms charge a membership fee and you additionally pay us for the program that you prefer.

 Q: Can I receive better results from a gym or in my home?

This greatly depends on your fitness goals and your schedule. Both locations may yield the results you want. It's just good to know what you are aiming for.

For example, if you are a busy mom of two and you want to lose those stubborn 10-15 pounds, but you don't want to join a gym because it is inconvenient to drive, plus you don't want to leave your kids with people you don't know, and additionally you prefer a more private setting, then, in-home training may be a good solution. Progressive resistance training performed in-home, mixed with cardiovascular exercise, and good eating habits will help you lose those 10-15 pounds.

On the other hand, if you are a middle aged guy who is overweight, and you want to get into the shape of a bodybuilder, then joining a gym may be a better idea. When you join a gym there are many different types of machines, so you will have more options at your disposal to work your body at a greater intensity. Being in a gym environment can also be very motivational, whereas for some people being at-home does the opposite.

Our pricing ranges from $40-85.00 per session, depending on the fitness program you are interested in or how long you prefer to train with us. CFR pricing is designed to save you more - the more sessions you purchase.

 Q: Will my sessions expire if I go on vacation, am temporarily sick or something else which will cause me to miss training?

You are only charged for the sessions you workout with your trainer. As long as you keep good communication with him/her there should be no problem.

In some cases though, if a client has remaining sessions with a trainer, fails to show up regularly and does not notify trainer if he/she would like to continue or finish, the sessions will eventually expire after 1 month.
