Rene Urteaga, CPT
Rene Urteaga has worked in the health and wellness arena for more than ten years consulting predominately in health promotion, corporate coaching, and exercise prescription. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and he is currently working on his Graduate degree in Health Promotion and Exercise Physiology. Rene has various personal training certifications and always keeps current with new fitness philosophies and trends. Over the years, Rene has worked for the renowned Cooper Aerobics Center as a personal trainer and has owned and operated his own private personal training studio helping clientele reach their health and fitness goals. He believes before you can teach a person how to live a healthy lifestyle, you must live it yourself. Rene enjoys staying active, golfing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Q: Why did you choose to become a personal trainer?
A: To make a difference by helping people change their lives.
Q: How are you different then other personal trainers? What is your specialty?
A: Take the time to make the sessions fun and exciting. I specialize in post-rehabilitation.
Q: What is your biggest challenge that you face when training clients?
A: Time.
Q: How do you deal with clients who aren't serious?
A: I stress goals and motivation.
Q: What is the most important component to personal training that you advocate to clients?
A: I advocate balance, lifestyle change and modification.
Q: What are your strengths as a trainer? weaknesses?
A: My strength is my dedication to the client. My weakness is waiting for a client to make a decision to change.
Q: What do you think of the ever popular Atkins Diet??
A: Not much at all.
