The More Motivation...The Better

by Jim Coughlin

Getting motivated to work out is one of the biggest challenges when maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  Regardless of who you are, there just always seems to be a part of your brain creeping up on you that makes you want to skip your routine.

While some people are not deterred by this temptation...many are.

And the reason for this is because these individuals have created a mental image in their brain associating exercise with something that isn't fun to do or even - something they hate.

Once this mental blockade is created, results with your fitness program are not as good as they should be or even worse...it causes you to quit altogether.

But this mental image CAN be changed.

And I think it all starts with creating the best motivational environment for yourself that will shift your thinking.

This means your spouse, significant other, best friend or whoever you associate yourself most with MUST be on the same page with you when it comes to your fitness goals.

If they have no intent on ever exercising, like to drink, smoke, eat crap, etc,...it's going to make it a lot more difficult for you to succeed.

My wife, Brighid, is a perfect example.

Ever since she hired one of my trainers last year, she is a different person.  Her mental image towards exercise has completely changed.  Not saying she loves it, but she is definitely more accountable.

Not only that, but before she met with Erich (one of my trainers), her idea of exercise was just doing cardio.  But now, she consistently strength trains 3x a week in addition to her cardio exercise.

Now, when we moved to St. Louis a couple weeks ago, I was worried that she was going to stop doing her strength training routine since she would no longer be training with Erich.  But to my surprise, not only did she not stop, she asked ME to train with her!

So for the past 3 weeks, Brighid and I have been workout buddies in our basement and I see this trend continuing for a long time to come.  How's that for extra motivation baby!

And before you think "Oh, well you're a personal trainer Jim, you don't need the additional motivation."

Well, think again.

Having my wife train with me is HUGE.  I don't care how big of a fitness-nut you are, (like myself) you can NEVER go wrong with more motivation.  Period.

Having an additional voice that not only stays on me with my nutritional goals, but ALSO works out with me as well is like a dream come true!

I recommend YOU putting yourself in the same position.  And no, it doesn't have to be your wife or husband, but someone who IS into working out.

And if you don't know or can't find anyone who can partner up with you to exercise, the best thing you can do is invest in my platinum/gold program - http://www.fitnessandresults.com/tihpt_platinum_gold.php

Seriously, there is no other program that comes close to simulating working out with someone mono y mono like my platinum/gold program.  And better yet, that someone is ME!

Here's what one of my former clients had to say about The In-Home Personal Trainer Platinum edition program the other day:

Have you ever wanted a personal trainer but can't afford the cost? Are your workouts at very inconvenient times? Do you need someone to push you in order to that 3rd or 4th set of intervals but don't have the motivation to hire an actual trainer? Are your workouts lacking in variety therefore you are no longer seeing the results you want?

Well, if any of the above apply I can honestly say that using the The In-Home Personal Trainer DVD workouts is not the next-best-thing but rather equally as productive as hiring an excellent trainer to train you himself. I can say this first-hand because I did hire Jim himself and he trained me in my home for 6 weeks. Over 2 years later I purchased his videos to try and I felt like we were back to training together. These tapes are no-frills. There is no annoying techno music playing in the back and there is no skinny barbie-doll woman in thongs making you feel less beautiful or in shape.

It is exactly the way he trains as if he were there next to you talking you through the exercises and motivating you to push yourself beyond your limits. He even laughs at himself when he says something funny or mis-counts the same way he did when he trained me. It is the best way to get a thorough at-home workout for those who don't have the resources, time or motivation to do it alone. The best part is that it is in the convenience of your own home at your own schedule and you get to decide your level of intensity.  I highly recommend Jim's DVD workouts for anyone like myself who knows they want results and needs the variety and extra push without the need to schedule an appointment.
